Starring – Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Tony Luke & Amrita singh.

Directed by – Sujoy Ghosh

Runtime – 2 Hours

The story in short-A young dynamic entrepreneur (Taapsee Pannu) finds herself in a locked hotel room next to the body of her dead lover (Tony Luke). She hires a prestigious lawyer (Amitabh Bachchan) to defend her, and one evening, they work together to find out what actually happened. This movie is based on a Spanish film titled (“The Invisible Guest”)

 Performance –

(Amitabh Bachchan as Badal Gupta) –  Uff what to say about him, truly a legend when it comes to acting, right from his 1st scene till the last the dialogue delivery with his heavy voice is simply fantastic.

(Taapsee Pannu as Naina Sethi) – Film by Film we can notice the versatility of Taapsee’s acting, she is just so natural throughout the movie, her expressions and emotions are more than enough to impress and keep you on the edge of your seats.

It is a pleasure to watch Amrita Singh on the big screen and she’s bang on with her role of a determined mother.

The Malayalam model-actor Tony Luke makes his Hindi debut with this film. While Luke is pretty effective with his role, his strong south Indian accent comes in the way.

Sujoy Ghosh yet again manages to keep you curious through the 2-hour duration of the film and to his and the film’s story’s credit, it is not easy to guess the truth. Ghosh manages to keep the interest going through an interesting screenplay (written by him) and smart dialogues (written by Raj Vasant).

 What’s Good -?

-Considering a suspense thriller genre there are no Songs at all throughout the film

– Of course Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee’s mindblowing performance

– The screenplay is the Biggest Plus Point and for which I give the most no. of stars

– The ‘twists’ and ‘turns’ largely succeed in keeping you on the edge of your seats.

 What’s Disappointing -?

– Expected the ending to be more powerful as it gets slightly predictable during the last 15 minutes.

Final Verdict – Overall Badla does not just keep you hooked till the end but it destroys your delusion of ‘I’ve predicted the climax’. This movie is a MUST WATCH for sure and highly recommend it to your friends as well.

 Our Ratings – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/ 5)
