On his trip to New Delhi, Shah Rukh Khan visited his school, St Columba’s & met up with his school teachers along with the current batch of students.
Shah Rukh Khan over his years in Bollywood has served to be a major inspiration with tales of his struggling period. However, Shah Rukh, despite being a superstar of the current times, has his roots in place and leaves no opportunity in taking out a day off for those who played a key role in setting his initial foundation right. Similarly, the actor, on Sunday, jetted off to New Delhi, his hometown to visit his school St. Columba’s. Shah Rukh, who is currently on a break from films, marked his presence for an interactive session with eighteen students belonging to the school’s music and theatre society. Apart from Shah Rukh and the students, the Principal Brother EV Miranda and a few administrative members were in attendance.
Well, with Shah Rukh in the house, it remains highly impossible for the spectator to not be left spellbound. The eighteen awestruck students, who initially found it difficult to process that the King of Bollywood will be in the school’s premise, couldn’t contain their excitement. While talking to a leading daily about their tryst with Shah Rukh, one of the students from the senior secondary grade told that he couldn’t believe that the actor was in between them and felt he isn’t for real but a wax statue. The student further revealed that the meet had one of his friends into tears of joy. “At first it all seemed like a joke until SRK stepped out of his car leaving us all amazed. He wasn’t looking real for sure. It appeared to be his wax model. “One of our friends even started crying on seeing him up close. For us, it was very special,” the student told.
During the interaction, Shah Rukh, who spent his initial days in the school, busted some myths that were popular among the students of the institution. The senior secondary grade, further talking to the daily, revealed that a rumour that Shah Rukh is fond of the chemistry lab was doing the rounds for quite some time. He then told that the actor cleared the air and said the chemistry lab was amongst the least liked sections. “No, I hated the chemistry lab, it’s just a made-up story,” the Jab Harry Met Sejal actor told the eighteen students. Yet another student for the bunch who was present for the session continued to add that Shah Rukh cleared yet another speculation about being the captain of all the sports teams.
Calling this a ‘once in a lifetime experience’, the student revealed that Shah Rukh, in his signature, spellbinding pose with his arms wide open, clicked pictures with all. Not just this, the actor signed autographs for every student and stayed with them for a good two hours. “We posed with him in his signature pose after he signed autographs for all of us and stayed for around two hours,” the student said.
