Abhishek Bachchan congratulates father Amitabh Bachchan on completing 50 years in cinema, says ‘we now await the next 50’.

Amitji, all of 77, has proven and broken all moulds of stereotypes and emerged to be a clear winner with pure hard work and talent. Be it comedy or an action thriller and even a complete romantic genre, he has aced it effortlessly, leaving us in awe of his natural finesse. The megastar, over five long decades, has served as millions’ inspiration and accounted to be the face of the cinematic devotion, just to become the God to his countless fans. And as years passed away, Amitji, with hundreds of films to his credit, clocked 50 years in cinema on Thursday. In order to mark a new milestone in his father’s life, Abhishek Bachchan, on Instagram, penned an endearing and inspiring note for the legend.
In the note, Abhishek, not a son but as Amitji’s fan, wrote that the nation is blessed to witness the greatness of the latter. He further added that several generations to come will have him as an idol to admire, learn and say that they have lived in an era where Bachchan rightfully ruled. While concluding, Abhishek said the nation and cinema now awaits for the next 50 years from Amitji. “Not just as a son, but as an actor and a fan… We are all blessed to witness the greatness! There is so much to admire, to learn and even more to appreciate. Several generations of cinema lovers get to say we lived in the times of BACHCHAN!!! Congratulations Pa on completing 50 years in the Film industry. We now await the next 50! Love you,” Abhishek wrote.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitji currently, will be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. Apart from that, he is hosting the TV series Kaun Banega Crorepati.
